Corporate Lawyer | AI Builder
Corporate lawyer in Hong Kong. Spent five years at Sidley Austin advising over a dozen listed companies on M&A and capital markets. Pivoted to product because I love the craft of building tools, starting with the tools I wished I'd had as a lawyer. Built a HKEX size test agent that does three things: (i) pulls figures from the financial report, (ii) fetches live market data from HKEX, and (iii) auto-fills the clunky XFA dynamic PDF form, all in a minute. Other builds include HKEX Listing Rules Vault, a RAG chatbot on the full Listing Rules PDFs that cites the rule that actually applies. Summa Nota, a HK judgment summarizer that turns long rulings into barrister-style notes. The bar I hold every build to is delight. Lawyers have enough friction in their day — a tool that adds more isn't worth shipping.
Web app agent that automatically fills in a PDF form (a HK Stock Exchange requirement) by extracting key metrics from company's financial reports and fetching live market data and exchange rates. This form is published by the HK Stock Exchange as the Size Tests. When a listed company plans to go into a deal, five percentage ratios decide how much it has to disclose to the public about it, such as making an announcement, or if they have to get shareholders’ approval. Built with Claude Code + Cursor.
