Co-Founder, Treanor Devlin Brown PLLC
Integrating AI Into Our Litigation Boutique
Arlo Devlin-Brown is a co-founder of Treanor Devlin Brown, a New York litigation boutique focused on white collar criminal defense, high stakes civil litigation, and blockchain-related fraud cases. Before launching the firm in 2025, he spent eleven years as a prosecutor and supervisor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and nine as a litigation partner at Covington & Burling. Arlo led the prosecution of what remains the largest insider trading scheme ever charged, brought anti-money-laundering charges against the largest U.S. bank (recovering $1.7 billion for Madoff victims), and at Covington represented more than fifteen FTX and Alameda employees and defended a law firm partner in a cryptocurrency money laundering trial. Arlo runs Treanor Devlin Brown as an AI-native firm and builds the tools himself. A fleet of custom agents support all aspects of firm operations and are deeply integrated into client matters. He is currently building a blockchain tracing and analytic tool to support the firm's cryptocurrency fraud recovery practice and a toolkit to assist federal criminal defense lawyers throughout the life cycle of a typical defense case. He also writes practical guides for lawyers on using AI, and speaks regularly on the subject on podcasts and at legal conferences.

A blockchain tracing tool initially being developed for internal use to support crypto fraud recovery.

A toolkit for federal criminal defense lawyers with both deterministic and agentic components. Lives in case file and streamlines tasks from arraignment/bail through discovery, motion practice, pleas, trials, sentencing and appeals. Currently in development.
Modern practice runs on legal AI, and using it well is a two-subject discipline.
